Just realised time is running out for this quiz. I would appreciate help on Qu 35. 'Ex-Tory leader took the definite article into Europe (3,5) I think it starts with 'the'. Had wondered if it was an anagram of THATCHER but cannot fit it in with suitable answer. Could anyone confirm if Qu 45 is Tiger's Claw - I came up with this some time ago but can't remember how I got it.

Thanks mamyalynne, I can see 'Timber wolf'' now. I think I was going through the dictionary when I came across Tiger's claw and assumed that was the answer I needed but couldn't work out why. Not sure about Ted Heath though as it doesn't fit in with the pattern of answers to clues before and after, that's why I think the first word is'The' - being the definite article. Probably I'm barking up the wrong tree again.

Sorry to hear you missed that one mamyalynne. I try to do them myself until brain is fuddled and I know I'll never get them, hence my plea to AB. I've been down to last 10 for weeks and struggled with those last two. Mind I may have put some in wrong, there were an odd one or two that I'd had a plant for, then found I was short of a city, so I messed about with them this week. I've enjoyed this one as I have the other Dragonfly's. Hope it isn't the final one. Thanks to compiler and Pauline.
