KM Links Game - August week 1

Good morning everyone - all ready for a new month, I hope !!
I've not made a good start as my printer has spat the dummy this morning and I haven't been able to do the Crossword, and consequently not been able to double-check - well not as thoroughly as I'd like [ shades of a couple of weeks back ]

So if anyone has something contrary to the words I shall now enter, please shout !!! I believe the words today are -

amd thank you Strix for the added info. I guess the reason that it was in the singular form bothered me most - I tend to think of oats, not just one.
