MM and KM Links September 2009 [Week 2]

Good Evening AB Linkers, everywhere!

Welcome to this second week in the reign of Lady Jill (aka tearinghair), who conducted herself in a very regal and serene manner when presented with a revamped AnswerBank! Not only did she accommodate the revised format, but she also distributed her bounty far and wide in the form of a plethora of points (especially for a first week).

Tomorrow we are expecting an even smoother launch, when her introductory posting should open at the regular time of 08.45am and her four words to be linked declared at 09.00am, when MM Links kicks off in earnest. Of course, the new AB format has also been well and truly tamed in the international version of this same game which is called KM Links, which kicks off at a slightly earlier hour. Both games remain open for most of the weekend and all entries are scored and recorded on master scoreboards. All newcomers are welcome to participate in either Game ~ or both Games!

I am crofter and I take responsibility for organising and scoring the MM Links Games; and I pay tribute to my opposite number, Steff (aka seekeerz), all the way from the Land of Oz to score the KM Link Games. Steff is starting off September in fine form by being one of the leading players for MM Links! Will she still lead the field after this second week’s challenge? Tune in and see.

As for tonight, Mrs Crofter (Val) and I are baby-sitting grandson Harry for the first time ~ so wish us luck. All our bonding over the last six months may well count for naught should he wake up to find absent parents!

Jan I am more that prepared to allow the more civilised members of the community through the gates. I was thinking of hiring some bouncers but I thought Pauline might lead them astray and have her own little dinner party with them - sort of battered Fish and Chippendales.

Now then..I missed the early rising in the shrubbery last week. Then I was useless...so we need some hints.

Definitely no hints! And I'm very grateful for Crofter's confidence, but I wish I shared it.... I won't even be able to blame the new AB site, which was a useful screen for my mistakes last week! I'll try to synchronise the computer clock properly tomorrow.

I wonder if Kay is still having problems Jan?...she e-mailed me today and was really cheesed off with keep getting disconnected. Mind you one could argue she's been disconnected for years!! Don't tell her! :-)
