Just watched this twee movie again - love it and great childhood memories -- but does anyone know where the locations of filming were around Ireland? I know some were studio set, and some filming took place in Ballinasloe, but the castle and Granny's Cottage are on the coast (Ballinasloe is dozens of miles inland) - any ideas?

This website http://tiny.cc/RLTbY lists Louth, Antrim, Dublin as filming locations.
I've not seen the film, but could it be Dunluce Castle?

The locations finder on IMdB is a bit vague on this film, but look here for what information they do have:~
