Good Evening AB Linkers, everywhere!

Last week, the September MM Links contest ended in a dead heat with centrino and Christiana both finishing on 10 points. Any final monthly score into double figures is quite an achievement ~ especially over only four weeks. In accordance with previous practice, the crown was offered to centrino who (I was to learn) was just about to embark on a 15-day trip. In view of this, I decided to promote ex- champion Christiana to the dizzy heights of “Super Nova” as one of the select few, who will set the Link Words for a second time! She has graciously accepted (although muttering something about “flattery”!) [Isn’t he an Irish dancer?]

No! No!
Spoilsport!
I'm having fun doing an old Dragonfly quiz that crofter kindly sent me.
Good...which one?
Oh YES! Thank you, Strix - I remember it well!
Pauline,it's the Double Decker Ds. Have 17 left to go.
Strix... how do you remember them all???

tearinghair...there is a rumour that the Crofter might have another up his sleeve!
"How" do I remember, I don't. You give me clues and wham the song comes to me!!

I was just thinking of Reg and lo:

!! :-))
Excellent. I'll look forward to it.
Have been frantically knitting Arran sweaters to take to the grandsons in a couple of weeks' time, and have just discovered that I've sown the button band on the wrong side of the second one. The air has turned blue here.
...or even 'sewn'... but the way I scatter the buttons around either spelling might be appropriate!
But then, Pauline, after a few pints of Lunatic juice down the Old Dog and Ferret and a cople of nips Scotland's finest and as he clasps the banisters as he ascends staircase to the marital bedroom he is probably singing:

(Shrubbers, tell me how many of the musicians you recognise - it's a fairly high powered group!)
How annoying!!! I love knitting...just don't seem to get the time. I taught myself when I was 12..and saw my Grandma knit. She knitted so fast I actually thought the needles went through each other...yet she never had the patience to teach me, even though I asked her. I took myself to the library..and asked for a book on how to knit. The Librarian looked at me at that age as if I was taking the mickey! I did get a book and as they say...the rest is history. I am quite good at it, but just don't get the time now. It is very relaxing, but as you say...annoying when you do something like that. The air would be blue indeed!!!
I don't believe it ... turn my back for a few weeks, and what do I find on my return ?
From Strix to Pauline (at 2048 this evening) ... and I quote " I admire you enormously" !!!!!!!
Have you finally weakened and joined t'other side, or been brainwashed?
It looks as if you need my support!! ;O)
Strix....you are terrible!

Liked the last one though....WATCH OUT MRS STRIX!!!!!>>>HE'S AFTER YOU!!!!
Hi Sarumite!!....and I promise Strix...I never uttered a word! Love it!!! :-)))
He has been caught out...he loves us really!
Thank the Lord you're here in time to rescue me Sarumite.
What a fool I have been, what a soppy idiot. How could I have fallen under Rosa's spell? Is she working in concert with Derren Brown, have I been hyptonised? Brainwashed? Re-programmed?
I can't begin to apologise enough for having let the side down but at least you are here, Sarumite.
Let us go forth with our cloves of garlic, our hare's foot, clutching our crucifixes in one hand and our swords of manlihood in the other and drive Rosa back into their rightful places - the bedroom, nursery and kitchen.

Narrow escape there, methinks.

He doesn't need any support S...he is just a big softie at heart!! :-)))
No way I can put it right tonight in what they laughingly call the 'light' of these ridiculous new bulbs. I'd ask my daughter to do it for me (she's a knitwear designer) but she is busy putting the final touches to her own stuff as she has a stall at the Knitting and Stitching show next week.
Typical flipping man... Only brave in numbers!! A shrivelling wreck on his own...then along comes another man...and they become a hero! Get to the cellar the pair of you!...now!!
tearinghair...if I lived near you!! :-)) Your daughter sounds like an expert! It is a wonderful craft.
