**how to move sky hd box to the other side of the room**
2 Answers
what's the easiest way of moving my tv with sky hd box from one side of the room (where all the connections are) to the other, without having the two sky cables and tv aerial cable running around the skirting board and around a door frame?
can i somehow reduce the number of cables to1 or is there a wireless type of method, all ideas of how to do it will much appreciated
many thanks again for solutions

You could use a wireless AV sender plugged into the Sky TV SCART, and a receiver plugged into your TV, but this would mean leaving the Sky box where it is and just moving the TV. However, you would lose HD capability. (There are wireless HD AV Senders around, but they are really expensive). In any case I personally would never advocate wireless for Video transmission as results are variable.
Your only other option would be to re-route the cables from the dish externally and feed to a second termination point on that side of the room.

Yep, agree with that. If you really want to do it then it's probably best to have the cables coming in to the house on the other side of the room.
Or maybe go under the floorboards.
Or get hollow skirting boards (or use a router yourself) so that cables can be hidden in them
Either way it's not quick and easy
