MM Links Solutions December 2009 [Week 3]

Well, Princess Di (aka grannydi) can be mean when she wishes. Her most profitable game ever (which she produced last week) was followed this week by a relative points famine when Princess Di chose the theme of GOLF ~ producing the following link words:

Captain SCARLET
SOCIAL Club
Green PEACE
Ball GOWN

Who could add to last week’s point fest?

This week, it was x-ray to be first off the blocks and furthermore he scored a “hit” with CAPTAIN SCARLET for TWO POINTS! He was immediately followed by ulysses100 who picked out her “hit” with BALL GOWN ~ another TWO POINTS went on the scoreboard. Shortly afterwards, tearinghair booked a ticket to the very same Ball and claimed Two Points.

By Entrant #7 (in the guise of ex-champion Grenmus), a superb set of predictions brought the new link word of SOCIAL CLUB together with yet another Ball Gown for an impressive FOUR POINTS. This proved to be the highlight of the round and qualifies Grenmus to be awarded (not for the first time) the coveted title of “Hot Shot of the Week”!
*** Let trumpets sound and canons roar ***
*** Let crowds go wild and yell “Encore!” ***

There was still time to score bonus points off these first three hits and Dustybun, lysander & new-comer caslass took full advantage ~ each picking up Two Points. Two or three players scored single points before the game came to an exciting close when jan1956 claimed the last link with GREENPEACE with only three more entrants to come!
