All the answers begin with the letters G G. For example - Ann was from here - Green Gables.
Out of 110 questions having guessed a few, we are down to this one and no-one can help??
"Contains a Bridge across Turks Creek" ??
Some of the answers were factual, some cryptic.
Any help or ideas greatly appreciated.
Possibly something to do with "gulch" or "Goodwood" but can't find anything to fit the clue.

I have looked up Turk in a reference book and amongst other words it states Gregory and Grand. I don't know why, but it might give you an idea. Also it might also be a Gulf for creek or a gully. Sorry can't be more helpful,it really is a difficult one isn't it.

The only thing I can come up with is GRAND GULCH (which is in Utah).

Its relationship with Turks Creek is fairly tortuous, however.

I wondered whether they wanted a linguistic bridge between the words 'Turks' and 'Creek' ie come up with something that also had a relation to 'Turks' and 'Creek'.

Well, there the GRAND TURK island, GULCH is another word for a CREEK and GRAND GULCH is a place of note in the States.

A tad shoehorning I know.
