I cant believe this poll. Yes, I complete them by myself. So why are these people are on answerbank at all.
What about answer C. No, I usually complete them with the help of answerbank.

Who else would be able to provide the answers to those who can't finish them?

I try my hardest to complete all Crosswords and Quizzes by myself, but if I am really stuck I will post the problem on this site. By using this site I have made many friends with whom I chat regularly. I usually ask them if they can help, and if they can't then I post on here. In almost 4 years I have been using this site I have only asked about 200 Qs, but have given over 5,000 answers. To me this is not only a solver site, but also a social site, and apart from a few miserable and rude people I think this site is really worthwhile !

I try and do crosswords by myself, if I do get really stuck I search the internet. I have found most difficult answers this way. But it is good to have the choice to ask other people.

Well, my wife and I spend many hours doing crossswords every weekend and, although we do different crosswords, we still discuss clues and solutions. I must say we find it very enjoyable, but I guess we're lucky in that we have a passtime in common.

I complete crosswords by myself.......if I'm stuck I use google.....if I'm still stuck I give up.

I also do them myself as much as I can but if I get stuck I take mine to the pub and ask friends for help. I usually find other people joining in and ask where I get them from so I tell them about the fund raising quiz site.

I always try to complete them myself but then if stuck ask for help from the very friendly people on Answerbank. If stuck at the weekend on the General Knowledge ones I will refer to google where you can find all the answers with a bit of a search. I would second grasscarp's suggestion to have a C in the vote.

I always try to do them by myself and sometimes use an electronic crossword solver for crosswords (obviously) or codewords. I also consult my husband and he consults me if we are stuck with a puzzle. I will also use Google, one-across and answerbank as a last resort and for the telegraph crosswords use Daves blog.

I try to do what i can myself but nearly alway's have to ask for help,i find the answerbank very useful for help.

I'm not sure that 'B' entirely fits coming on Answerbank. I think for most people here the answer is 'A' plus 'with a little help from my friends'.

Many years ago, four of us enjoyed pleasurable lunchtimes in a pub in Leicester solving the Times cryptic over a pie and a pint. (OK, four pints). It was a wonderful hour of convivial banter during which we put the world to rights and (usually) solved the puzzle.

We were younger then and the world was a much more relaxed, tolerant place. I used to do the Grauniad puzzle on my way into work on the train, and sometimes continue it in the office. When the time came to apply for another job, my boss wrote "If he could be encouraged to devote the time and effort he does to the Guardian crossword to the work he's paid to do, he'd be truly outstanding" as part of my reference.

The chair of the interview panel was a fellow crossword devotee, and I got the job.

Solving can be fun as a solitary or group pastime - as can most things, I believe! ;)

A friend and I have a lovely saturday afternoon/evening ritual. Taking it in turns to host we start off with tea and a piece of cake; at 5 pm the wine is uncorked; dinner follows after we have jointly completed the Crossword. We take it in turns to post in the result. The evening used to take in Merlin and Strictly, but as t.v. is now so dire, its usually Scrabble. Hey - its a tough life etc. etc.

I do the best I can myself, then it's Googletime and finally answerbank, where certain friends know EVERYTHING and are pleased to help us thicker ones, thankfully!!
