chelle just looked at that translation; just goes to show how unhelpful these sites can be.
I could not agree more! Having a degree in French, and speaking several other languages, I can confirm that these "translation" site have caused a huge amount of problems. The thing is that the minutest mistranslation can totally change the meaning, and it takes a human mind to understand nuances of language.

Untranslatables is another goodie full of words from around the world.

You know the chocs and flowers from a petrol station that a man staggers in with at 3 in the morning to appologise to the wife.

In Germany this is Drachenfutter (Dragon fodder) !
Ah, but that's the point! Everything is ultimately translatable, but the online sites can do little more than attempt a word by word transliteration plus a few stock phrases...
