Get your motor running, get out on the highway...........errr, Matron, did you leave the lid off the happy pills cos she's got the Harley again and she's gone.........................................
................
Good morning everyone - guess you're wondering - well, no probably not, you've all been around long enough to know it's just me having another of my mad moments and I just had to get it out of my system. Right, that's better - no prizes for guessing she's a petrolhead [ amongst other things]
Trust we've all recovered from last wekend's avalanche - somehow I doubt we'll get the same result today, as the words are -
LANCASHIRE
STIR
DISK
STAR
Maybe I'm wrong in thinking there's not a great deal of scope there, but I could be very surprised.
And I can see I'm running late again - ok, all welcome to join in and GOOD LUCK to all S
Question ? Is it disc or disk ? Being a botanist I would personally callit a disc,bu, not having the crossword yet in front of me I don't know whether Kate has gone for a "K" ending or not, or whether the answer looks like D?S?. For the moment I will go with the former :
Lancashire hotpot
stir crazy
floppy disc (can also be spelled disk !)
star anise
It's a toss up actually, the letters are d-s- which leaves it wide open to interpretation.
I put disk because that was the spelling in the botanic thing I was reading, but I'm no expert.
