Sprinter 53. I don't need your "polite" suggestion that I do the easy version of the Times crossword. I have been solving the Cryptic version for more years than I care to remember! I was merely trying to help the person who posted the original question, a fellow crossword solver, and answered it pretty quickly before studying it properly. I'm very sorry if it offended you and can't begin to guess why you even felt the need to post such a nasty remark. I'm just glad that there are much friendlier people in this world than you.

I agree. There are some terribly arrogant individuals on this site, people who seem all too pleased at their own intelligence. If solving cryptics is necessarily evidence of same. I would respectfully suggest that a well-rounded, truly intelligent person would have better things with which to occupy their time than taking cheap shots at what they evidently see as their intellectual inferiors.
