I thought the stone of scone was taken to Scotland a few years ago.

The ceremonial Scottish stone is the STONE OF SCONE otherwise known as the STONE OF DESTINY or the CORONATION STONE. It sits under the throne in Westminster Abbey.

It was found & returned to Westminster Abbey.
I don't mean when it was stolen. In1996 was it not given to Scotland in a ceremony but will be returned to England for Coronations when they occur.

I didn't know that. So this can't be the answer if the stone is now longer in London.
I haven't abandoned the thread, I went to watch Ultimate Force. I just didn't want missmolly given the wrong answer. Having said that I have found that the question setter often make mistakes as i have found to my cost on several occasions.
