Has anyone learned to knit from using a book? Can you please recommend one? I want to learn how to knit but don't know how to begin. Thanks

Hi, I have just started Knitting myself. I have joined a local Knitting group that meets once a month, they helped me a bit but told me to go onto youtube and watch videos, just type in how to knit cast on, and how to knit knit stitch, that way you can do it yourself while watching it. It helped me a lot and i have just finished knitting my first thing, a blanket for my little girls dolly! I have a book but found it really hard to learn from it, i needed to see it for real.
I love it and am now trying to master the purl stitch. good luck

Thank you Aims. There are local knitting groups but I don't have the time to visit them. But I will try Youtube as you've so recommended. Thanks again.
