Hello turnerjmw, I quite agree, an easy grid to populate, but a bit sneaky when there were 2 options for one unclued letter in a cryptic part of a clue. Plus I dwelled a while on 37d, as the first Pacific Island I thought of had the deletion at the end!

Being a techie my first Pacific Island thought was slightly different from you two! We enjoyed our romp through the world of Cluedo (or Clue for our North American friend :)) and it was certainly a pleasant change from the brain beating we have received with the Listener (and last week's EV).

Why, here we all are. Why are we hiding in Quizzes & Puzzles? Is this in keeping with this week's mystery theme? Very self-referential.

A much easier puzzle this week than the first 6 readings of the instructions would have led me to believe. I actually finished last night.

Are you all choking on volcanic ash? My daughter's semester ends this week and she has plans for a week in Italy and a week in Greece (assuming it's not in receivership by then). This assumes planes are flying by then. Please tell Iceland to quit erupting. Are they trying to get back at Europe over the whole banking thing? Sore losers.

A mid-60s afternoon awaits... as does a pile of papers to grade. Argh.

Not really very technically minded DocHH, but am welded to my keyboard and spend a lot of time in the company of geeks - I guess it rubs off although they all leave me standing. Rather like my forays into the crossword world!
