I think that I’m back on track regarding the scores on the doors and ready for the final round of links to be set by “Lady Jan”. As usual Jan has been brilliant ~ not least in the way that she has required very little assistance and she just got on with it! I hope tomorrow will go just as smoothly.
Today, I have had the lawn scarified in a serious attempt to begin reclaiming the garden after three years of neglect. Over this period, the moss had taken over and the scarified lawn now looks to be in a sorry state ~ but it was a necessary step to get the garden ready for the AGM! Tomorrow, “we” are heading off for a day at Blackpool. By “we”, I mean three generations of crofters (including 14-month-old Harry).
However, we won’t set off until I see “Lady Jan” successfully making her fourth launch tomorrow morning. The procedure starts with her posting at 8.45am and declaring her four words to be linked at 9.00am, when MM Links kicks off in earnest. Remember (with MM Links) ~ early hits gain bonus points! This is not to be confused with the international version of this same game which is called KM Links and kicks off at a very early hour (which is difficult to predict precisely). Consequently, the timing of your posting is deemed to be irrelevant ~ only the number of hits you are able to register.
The regular organiser of KM Links comes all the way from Oz and goes by the name of “seekeerz”. As I always say ~ “Why not chance your arm at both Link Games?” They remain open for most of the weekend and all entries are scored and entered on to master scoreboards.
Thanks crofter, and here's hoping I may be able to squeeze one tiny point out of Lady Jan...
It's been a nice relaxing week here in sunny Warwick, only getting slightly scary when the avatars started to appear. They are an interesting lot! I chickened out of finding a cartoon of someone tearing her hair out and went for a butterfly instead, but some of the ones already chosen are VERY appropriate.
thanks crofter, please don't make all the family wait around for me
get off and enjoy your day out
bring us all a stick of rock back though
I shall once again have to shoot off to work once my final links have been posted
are you all ready guys, or are you going to let Pauline keep her lead?
Actually YES, Jan, it would be fascinating/horrifying,terrifying,petrifying, mortifying or JUST possibly life-enhancing to see what the Stirrer of the Stockpot produced from her cauldron
Evening all. We've had a lovely sunny day down here in the South today.
Hope you are all keeping well - some interesting avatars appearing - yes Jan - strix has a very scary one
Interesting there is no sign of the Harpy of the Shrubbery!
Probably as her Lord and Master has been away for a few days he has relearned his sense of independence and Rosa is now beating it out of him and reducing him to his pre-holiday servile state.
"Yes, my little sweet pea, at what hour tomorrow do you wish your freshly brewed café au lait and just warmed buttered croissant delivered to your boudoir. I am my belovèd, as always, yours to command." !!
Just logged on! Where have all these avatars come from??...I must do one!
I have been baking all afternoon for my daughters charity event in aid of abandoned animals. Just going to catch up now.....
