The KM links Game - April week 4

Good morning everyone - I do hope we're all on board for the last week of the contest, and after some early concerns, I think we have some good possibilities for lots of point scoring. Luckily, a couple of helpful people got me on the right track !!!

Before I hit the start button, just a quick look at the rules - everyone is more than welcome to join in, the contest closes at midnight Sunday and results will be posted Monday morning, and no need to worry about word lengths, but don't forget when you go to MM

Hi, trt - because we're all trying to guess the correct answers - we won't know until Monday morning when the Herculis comes out. Why not have a go ??

Good morning trt. This is a sort of guessing game. The General Knowledge crossword in today's Telegraph has four shaded answers. On Monday the Telegraph's Herculis crossword will contain four answers that link in some way to them. We try to guess what those Monday answers will be and points are awarded for correct guesses. We're allowed to use guesses made by other people and sort of mix and match. There's a similar but slightly different game that kicks off at 9 a.m called the MM Links which isn't based on the Telegraph but has a different setter each month.
Why not give them both a try?

Good morning everyone. Sorry for my absence over the past few weeks; some of it was because I was on a working holiday leading some botany walks in Greece but then that Icelandic volcano erupted and we were stranded there. We finally got home day before yesterday. Relief ! Not that I stand a chance of getting many points it's nice to be back in the fray. My guesses are :

It was raining up until yesterday, Seekerz, but they reckon it has now stopped - we'll see! Meanwhile the storms blew our neighbours' satellite dish down and tore a huge hole in our roof - result: water pouring through and we have to do even more redecorating if we are ever to sell this house. Plus had to get it fixed straight away to prevent more damage and our neighbours are proving reluctant to reimburse us!

Some of my friends think that I am a rain god because they believe that I am the cause of the stuff that occasionally falls on our walks. They are all hoping that because my middle name is Thor I have got it all out of my system in one go and that the rest of the year will be fine. So, sorry everyone for the inconvenience. It just so happens that I managed to trap myself as well ! Well it gave me a few extra days to soak up the sunshine and enjoy a few more glasses of ouzo ( a drink that I haven't had since my student days !).
