The Club is now open.

Welcome everyone.

I am afraid that I have come down with the worst cold in the world today, so will be unlikely to make much of a contribution this evening. I'm sure that other members will all rally round in my time of need and keep up the club activities.

I would donate a half-empty box of tissues to the raffle, but I need them :-((

Well, I'm down again for more whisky.
Lordalex appears to have quietened down now, thank goodness.
Has he done much damage ?
Do I have to call the insurers again ? or was a mud pie the worst ?

I've always favoured a bread poultice for a boil, not a sugar one.
Dear Dear Dear all running amock tonight, his lordship shouting at the peasants, her Ladyship poorly and bears in the moat. Dont know where to start, better have a vodkatonic please Mamy
Question Author
Hello alexanderd. I'm just about managing to type. Glad to see you so you can begin moat-clearing duties, but do beware of the bears.
Alexandred, greetings but please refrain from calling me a pheasant. Glad Milady is a bit perkier.
evening a;exanderd, help yourself to a drinky

Milady I think the lawn will grow back a bit uneven but otherwise not too much damage and havr locked up his turbo chair and disconnected the battery.
Moat all clear m,lady and have erected a fence(electrocuted) to keep all undesirables out. I expect that means I will have to pay the electric bill now
Question Author
Thank you all. I am so lucky to have such faithful retainers.
By the way, alexanderd, I will arrange for the bill to come to you, never fear.

Do you think we could permanently disable the bath chair , Mamya ?

Thanks for your good wishes, Miss Meg. Are you not a pheasant ?
Oh yes I am expert at messing up technology milady, consider it done.

Off for a cig break and a tipple.

Always so considerate.

Has Uncle Joe been about this week ? or is he still going on about soup ?
I'be brought a jar of pickled eggs and half a tin of Quality Street to share. I'm in training for the next Marathon so I have to forgo something. Got to fit into my lycra shorts when the time comes.
.
No, I'm not a pheasant, my lovely new picture cleary identifies me. Glad the bears have gone, Uncle Joe??? Who is that, was he one of the bears? Methinks M'lady's fever may be getting the better of her.
Just been over the lawn with the heavy roller trying to even out the bumps, another drink please Mamy.
oh gran I can see you in lycra for sure, but awtch out for chafing

miss meg I think uncle joe took up jooging haven`t seen him for a week now
I think one of the bumps might have been uncle Joe, better go and check
Question Author
Thanks for sharing, askyourgran.
Don't you find that the lycra chafes against the tenas after the first 12 miles or so ?

Uncle Joe was here through the week talking about soup. Lordalex set him off with the gardening, then they started in on the soup conversation.
Apparently they both like to have a leek in their soup and they wanted to be sure that they had enough planted.
No its OK it was just one of the peasants, no harm done
oh if he was gardening I must have missed him whilst cleaning and black leading the grate
Question Author
I thought today was your day for donkey-stoning , Mamya
Well more than confused than ever. Haydock Park races plus some Beatles thing and fireworks, rowdy people about, hope they bounce off Alexandred's fence. Think I'd rather have the bewildered lot. Woe is me
12 miles!!! gulp. Might try a steady totter for a mile or so, then my friend will give me a lift to the next water stop. You are right about the chafing though, a bit of talc and I;ll ditch the tena, don't want a vPL,

Mamya do they still do the black leading stuff, can you remember what it was called? Zebo or something, Still got some Donkey stone for the front step.
