Did anyone do the mensa teaser in the Daily Express on Wed28th.For those without the paper,here it is
Mensa Teaser-The number of people who boarded tube stations at various stations is shown here.How many people boarded at Plaistow?
Victoria 107
Ruislip 52
Vauxhall 115
Barbican 101
Croxley 160
Plaistow ?

I am completely stumped and if you know the answer,how do you solve it.

Been obsessed with the vowels and consonants and place order in the alphabet.Should I have been looking at ancient Rome and is the answer 51?If so thanks for the clue and put me out of my misery and let me know if I have got it.Thanks again,Anne

51 does seems to be the answer for the reason you suggest.

Since I don't buy that paper, I only have what you have posted here to go on and so can't guarantee that it's absolutely correct, but I can't think of a reason to think that it is wrong.

Here is a clue!

Think of a word associated with each of the above words!

Like "Victoria" becomes "Victoria Plum!"

PLUM = 16, 12, 21, 13

Now reverse all the numbers and we have:-

61 + 21 + 12 + 13 = 107!
