In these days of prohibitive postage costs can anyone suggest a way of sending in both SaturdayDaily Telegraph crosswords without using two first class stamps? Unfortunately they go to different post box addresses.

1) Make a friend near to their offices
2) Post both entries to them (costing 1 stamp)
3) Ask them to deliver them by hand to the correct addresses
4) Sit back and wait for your prize money!
i think saturdays closing date is wednesday so you
could use a second class as long as its in the post by
monday morning . otherwise invest in some homing pigeons!
I always use 2nd class stamps on all my xword entries ,try to post as early as poss, ie I post on Sunday evening so that it goes first thing on Mon morning. I did win [ only once about 2 yrs ago] the Sat gen knowledge £200 xword and with a 2nd class stamp, unfortunately I have not won anything since, apart from the local rag, every week I send off at least 8 xwords, and live in hope !
