Can anyone identify this shrub.
Hi
I have a shrub in my garden which I cannot identify (we recently moved house) I shall have to move it as is is getting crowded out where it is just now. It is about 30" tall at present and I wonder how much more it will grow. Hopefully there are some photos of it to follow. The first should be of the shrub, the second a close up of the leaves and the third showing a spent flower - the flower was a creamy colour.

It has lovely furry covering on the young branches, when I was little it reminded me of a reindeer's antlers. It's a lovely tree and it has reddish racemes as I recall. I do think my father had a problem with suckers from the base - but now you know what it is, you can look it up. Ours was about 8ft tall and the spread about the same.
