The Club is now Open.

The Committee has decided to re-instate the raffle this week.

Prizes so far include :
A tin of sardines, sell by date illegible
4 reels of black cotton
Half a box of chocolates (Hard centres only)

As we have not had a demonstration for some time, perhaps we can prevail upon one of our members to give us an illustrated talk on the subject of their choice ?
The Committee is aware that many members are very talented and in these straitened times we must make our own entertainments.

Members will also be glad to know that the oubliette has been cleared and cleaned, ready for .....

hello mrs.c - no good for getting Matron safely off the premises after lock ins then? Pru - I am sure I have no idea as to that to which you refer. I am blameless of any subterfuge, innuendo or double entendres ( normal behaviour on my part, despite what anyone else may tell you) You may call me snow white for tonight (unless I drift off of course........)
good evening to you all, am i late or did you all start (drinking ) without me,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,i have been cleaning out my coal cellar and would like to donate some prizes for the ruffle !.a twin tub washing machine (no hose) a washboard (no thimble) half bottle of syrup of figs, a Danset record player, with an EP of frank iffield.
Has everyone gone to the pub, in that case will have two drinks at once and a ciggie

AYG its plain and purl
A very good evening to one and all.I have brought the 'Christmas Do It Yourself ' book for the raffle - well, one can't start too earlyl
Good evening flicrat, what a great prize am sure the tickets will fly tonight.
ive peeled my sprouts, they are soaking in water.
Hello anne and flicrat. Matron - words that are music to my ears, yes please, I have brought my own bucket for the drinks - save you pouring continually tonight. flicrat, may I disagree with you? One can always start too early!
Ooooh! Do hope I win the Dansette record player, though I may have the Frank Ifield EP already " I remember you-hoo" etc! Anyone fancy some REALLY old 'Uncle Mac' ( Children's Hour fame) 78s - a bit hissy and scratchy, but good for background?!
sorry mamya, I was distracted by marjorie, something to do with warm ***, can't understand it our corky is stretched out on the cool tiles in the conservatory.
You are right ttfn - The earlier the better and the more the merrier.
Pru - after you with the carbolic! Well I never. flicrat - yes please - for children everywhere ☺
hello everybody dont know where I have been but I am here now
any non alcoholic drinks going ? like cremolla foam, and a visit to the dentist afterwards,
Anne, are you making a sprouts pie or are those for feeding the goats in the cellar?
alex, my dear! How lovely to see you again. My, you look well after your holiday, but how I have missed you! Welcome back :o)
As for speaking on specialist subjects; when the conversation flags, may I offer a poetry reading from my book of poems on the church's year that we are flogging for building funds? It might be useful to start it round midnight, as it is guaranteed to get people remembering pressing engagements elsewhere.
no society the sprouts are for xmas day, you can never be too early,
hello everyone, cant stay to long but brought in some fab raffle prizes, steradent and plastic denture cup, half box xmas cards(no envelopes)and some treacle toffee.
Society - are you serious about a brussel sprout pie? Would not that require a larger vent hole than for, say, steak and kidney?
anne dear they don't need to soak, just a good 3 month simmer.

Pru, cool tiles? I can see trouble ahead.

Evening Alex, just watch Ena now, her's fluttering her charms already the hussy.
