I've been invited to a wedding... I went to school with the bride and groom but don't know them all that well.. they don't have a wedding present list and I'm really stuck for ideas... they already live together so have a toaster etc! Any ideas??
Thanks :-)

I also remember when our two daughters got married, they were inundated with gifts from a list, but were also given John Lewis vouchers. They had a great time shopping in there afterwards.
We were in JL again on Saturday & they always stock both practical & interesting things.
What about a mini luxury hamper (or cardboard box done up all fancy!) filled with some champagne/ sparkling wine, wine flutes, nice choccies etc. Tell them it's for after the honeymoon when all the dust has settled so they can have breakfast in bed.
We got one for our wedding & it was one of the gifts that really stuck in our minds.
JL vouchers are always a good bet. Alternatively, how about something tehy can keep for a later anniversary? I'm thinking maybe a lovely bottle of wine or champagne that they could lay down for a few years? Or perhpas (if they partake) a bottle of malt whisky, which will only improve with age.
One lovely idea I did hear of, was a couple who got a tree sapling as a present. They planted it in their garden and watched it grow as each year of their marriage past. Really sweet idea, unless you're moving home I guess.
