When making a statement in Gmail how do you incorporate the inverted comma symbols????? Thanks!!!!!

If it is a wider issue you may have an incompatible keyboard layout on your computer.
On US keyboards the @ symbol is on Shift + 2 and the double quote is the Shift on the key adjacent to Enter. Check to see what is entered with these keys.

Hi everyone it was definitely me that was missing something.I've used all the other exclamation marks including inverted commas.But when I saw their symbols above the writing area(in Gmail)my mind went into neutral or even reverse and I tried to use them,but as my post suggests I couldn't.That's started the new year off to a good start.Thanks to you all and a "HAPPY NEW YEAR" !!!!!!!
