My belief last week that Spring was just around the corner (now with hindsight) looks more like wishful thinking on my part. I did get two or three reasonable sessions clearing out some of the weeds and on Wednesday I bought some bulbs and seeds ready for the weekend. Now, I wait with (green) fingers crossed.

Last week’s game kicked off a little early due to the two-minute time warp that hovers over the Irish Sea. Some say it is caused by the magnetic attraction of the Iron in “Norn Iron”. Nevertheless, Baron Brian ~ aka beejay1124 did a very fine job and I made sure that no one was penalised by the early kick off.

Baron Brian is yet another Double Champion of the Royal Order of MM Links. He should open the channel of communication on AB tomorrow at 08.45am and his second set of four words to be linked should be posted at 9.00am. If you are new to the MM Links challenge, remember ~ early MM hits gain bonus points!

As usual, I ask that you should also look out for the international version of this same game which is called KM Links and kicks off at a very early hour (which is difficult to predict precisely). Consequently, the timing of your posting is deemed to be irrelevant ~ only the number of hits you are able to register. The regular organiser of KM Links comes all the way from Oz ( Roo-land) and is my good friend, “seekeerz”. She is truly the “Wizard-ess of Oz

As I always say ~ “Why not chance your arm at both Link Games?” You have nothing to lose. Both games remain open for most of the weekend and all entries are scored and entered on to master scoreboards to trace progress through each monthly contest.

Until we meet again, may I wish you ~ “Happy Linking”!

:o)
Evening all. Still looking for my first March point in either game!
I'm feeling a little fragile this evening - waiting to hear news of my daughter-in-law's family in Japan. I think they should be OK; they live in Nagoya and Osaka, both south-west of Tokyo, but I would be good to know for sure. Fortunately Tom (son) who spends a lot of time travelling to and from Tokyo, is at home in California at the moment (from one earthquake zone to another!) with Mika and the boys, though he hasn't heard from his head office yet. Looking at the TV pictures does make you realise the immense force of nature, doesn't it?
I am sure that crofter is far more up to speed than me on these things but there is an interesting (if worrying) correlation between the dreadful earthquake and tsunamis in Japan and the perigee (i.e. full plus closest to earth for 18 years) of the moon in 8 days time.
terrible pictures
think the earth is fighting back somtimes
have just heard tonoght that my sond honeymoon at the end of april is going to be refunded
(they had booked Tunisia) they were told that they hhad to wait until a week before to change or they would have to pay £50 each for flight £50 each for the change of hotel £50 each for the transfers the list went on
so at least now they can change for free,
have told them to go to Blackpool or Skegness!!!!!
much easier
Evening all ...what a worry for all the people affected. It's terrible.
There seems to be so many disasters at the moment.
Jan...Laura had trouble changing her holiday from Tunisia, she had a big row with the holiday company, but they backed down.
am so pleased they can change for free
was going to offer to pay for them to change as they caannot afford to
they are going tomoorrow to re book
glad Laura could change hers
Like they don't make enough money?
Good evening to you all. I got back last night from a week checking up on my 96-year old brother in Cornwall, I was feeling really weary - until I saw the news. It made me realise how lucky we are to live in a country where litter and grafiti are some of our worst worries.
Totally agree Aqua. We should count our blessings.
We were all saying that to each other at teatime.
I will not moan about our weather anymore!...well for a bit anyway.
The pictures on the news reports are horrifying.
Yes Pauline. As you all know I am rubbish at geography so can anyone tell me if Bali is in danger ?
Not sure Kay...
Just copied this from a news report Kay...

Among the countries issued with alerts from the Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre in Hawaii were Guam, Taiwan, the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Hawaii, New Zealand and Australia.

South America, Marcus Island and the Northern Marianas were also put on alert.
I play Scrabble with a man who owns a hotel there .
Just watching it on the news...
You just can't imagine what the fear must be for the people there.
yes was watching too. All the buildings being washed away, and all the cars driving along and then suddenly swept away...............
watching the people on that motorway bridge with nowhere to go and seeing everything being swept away, ..heartbreaking.

Why all these disasters? It seems to be more than you would normally expect to happen. I heard what they have said about the moon, as Strix was saying, but I don't understand it properly.
