I am near Plymouth and I can see what you mean, with binoculars. Could be a tail towards the south east, or just my shakey hands !

Google heavens above and you'll get star charts there that will show the comet

Valmave when you pin point it with your binoculars try with the naked eye. It will get brighter each evening. I have not seen it yet but hoping in the nex few nights .

The comet is about 20 degrees (40 full moon widths) above and slightly left of the setting Sun. If you can see the Square of Pegasus then locate the bottom left star in the square. The comet is below and slightly left of that star. The best time to see it is about 50 minutes after sunset.

I would say at a rough guess about 6 30 onwards . Am I right?

Spent about an hour last night looking for it, had good clear skies, but I couldn't find it, oh well hopefully I'll be able to see the one in November.

Yes Wendilla, 6.30pm onwards. 7.10pm should be ideal as the comet will still be well above the horizon and the sky should be dark enough to see it. It's about as bright as a second magnitude star but it is being observed against a less-than-dark sky.

Well, three of us looked for it tonight with the aid of binoculars, charts on ipads and phones at 40,000 from the flight deck of an aircraft and we saw........absolutely zilch. Something tells me it`s all been a bit overhyped.

Not seen it yet - no chance tonight as it was and still is snowing!
