Name Of A Shape

Not sure this is the right place to ask this question but couldn't think of another category for it to go in. I am trying to establish the name of a shape that has the bottom in the shape of an oblong and the top is half of a circle.

I think you're thinking 3D whereas I think the OP means a 2D shape. Imagine an oblong with the top line replaced with a semi circle. Not sure it has a name.

It makes a lot more sense in 2D....sort of like a protractor with an extended bit at the bottom?
Are some windows that sort of shape?

in the picture the oblong is the bit facing down, ie if you cut a cylinder down the middle you get a rectangle/oblong.

I agree with ZM, it's a 2 D shape. Don't know if it has a name but a rectangle with a semi-circle at both ends is called a stadium. So maybe a semi-stadium?

ok so like if you had half an athletics track, cut through the straight side? a full track is called a discorectangle so I guess semi-discorectangle?

Could be TTT, a discorectangle is an alternative name for a stadium (geometrically speaking).

the shape I am looking to name is a flat shape like a sign and has a rounded top on an oblong shaped bottom.
