I heard on the news there is flowing water on planet mars, surley if this is true there must be life. (some sort) not the little green men.
Surley it would have been discovered by now? its a red planet. do you thinki in years to come people will holidays there?

The interesting man on the beeb yesterday was saying that now they know there is the potential for life, its going to be even harder to explore physically even with remote machines as they can't risk contaminating the area with microbes from Earth and thus potentially wiping out any martian life that might be there.

It is hardly roaring rivers worth. Ice melts and it dribbles down the slope making the surface dark. Unless one lands in he right spot to check the damp stuff there is no reason one must have found microscopic life elsewhere, where no water is found.
May not even been any in the damp bits, but I'd not bet against it.
Since we have yet to get a human there I suspect holidays on Mars is a far far future option. Lot of terraforming to do before it attracts the masses.
