1 because we all have to die, it's inevitable and if the earth is going to be destroyed there is nothing I can personally do about it, so why fret? A meteor strike would be extremely quick so you wouldn't have to worry about fear or pain, just enjoy the last 24 hours spending time with those you love. I think actually it would bring trivia into massive perspective for people.

Not quite the question,but a Meteor is thought to be what ended 'The Age of Dinosaures' and allowed mammels to become dominent Dinos being huge needed massive amounts of plants to eat as food ! A Meteor destoyed all the large plants , that the Dinos needed as food . So the small mammels which need much less food became dominent ! So it could be said that we all owe our very existence to a huge Meteor !
