Unfortunately he has done that stupid, arrogant thing some men do: he's named his son after himself, so the whole of the poor kid's life he's doomed to be 'Ronnie Jr'.
Drives me mad, even more than those who give their children daft names.

His father is also Ronnie, so the current snooker world champion was also known as Ronnie Jr for the initial part of his life.

This is fairly common around the world. As for its driving you mad, might I respectfully suggest that you get a little perspective?

There really are worse things for you to be horrified about...

I think that the second is a bit of a necessary evil but once you get to the III - the Third - then it sounds great and bestows prestige and social cachet.
