92 deaths in the UK in the most recent week recorded. It's still around, but the vaccines are working (when you can get one).

He got petrol to steady around £1.50/litre and made heroes of some empty suits.

Job done and now having a break with other more deadly invaders, until the next time.

Any particuler coronavirus ? SARS, MERS, Covid-19 ? They're all still around, probably will be for the foreseeable future. Just got to decide not to panic next time one flares up. Politicians like to think that lessons will be learnt, although it rarely seems to be so.

As long there isn't the ridiculous over reaction there was last time.

it's everywhere as it always was.

we are all immune -ish. So we dont see it much. Deffo in the same group as measles and whooping cough ( still there)

and deffo NOT in the 'gone' group - plague, smallpox.

This post is not too ... rich and textured for the usual suspects, is it?

It's not gone, I had it in April.

But all I had was a sore throat.

The company I work for still have a strict rule that if you test positive for covid you have to stay at home for 5 days.

Quite strange really when you think that isn't even common law anymore.

But I didn't complain as I got 5 free days off.

I've had covid for over a week 😪, so it's still around. I've had a bit of a sore throat and snotty nose, but, otherwise I feel OK.

It's not that strange. It's highly infectious and they presumably don't want a lot of people going down with it.

Infectious diseases generally become less virulent over time because a host who is less affected is more likely to stay active and spread it.

However they can mutate and become more virulent too.

The Spanish Flu from 1919 is still with us.

“The company I work for still have a strict rule that if you test positive for covid you have to stay at home for 5 days.”

Why would anybody test for Covid?

“Quite strange really when you think that isn't even common law anymore."

It never was “Common Law”, reneg. It wasn’t even Statutory Law. It was simply "guidance” (which unfortunately many people - even the police on some occasions -  assumed was law.

“I've had covid for over a week 😪,”

How do you know, melv?
