Combustion of butanol: Butanol + 6 Oxygen > 4 Carbon dioxide + 5 Water
Propanol is C3H7OH and butanol is C4H9OH; in equations above oxygen is O2, don't forget. The combustion of these simple aliphatic alcohols always yield carbon dioxide and water in sufficient oxygen levels but carbon monoxide in lower levels.
The structure of these alcohols is formed by drawing the "C"s in a line, adding an -OH group on the end, add -H atoms to the rest of the carbons so that they all share four bonds with other atoms in the molecule.
I hope this is helpful.
