Does anyone else find it a fascinatingly peculiar phenomenon that, as an otherwise intelligent species, humans have a propensity to seek out and employ the self-deception of an "explanation" or "excuse" to justify the choice to succumb to the temptation to indulge in irrational behavior as well as the lengths traversed and the depths probed to persuade another person to convince them that they agree with and support their delusion as if their concurrence somehow rewrites reality and makes the dubious deed not only understandable but the only reasonable alternative under the circumstances, as if this makes them somehow superior to someone who just lets it rip? Shame on the Moon.
