In an experiment to determine the reaction orders and rate constant of a reaction (iodide and persulfate ions) using the method of initial reaction rates, the first part is to vary the concentration of iodide ions and to keep the concentration of persulfate ions constant.

The second part is to vary the concentration of persulfate ions and to keep the concentration of iodide ions constant.

How does the reaction change with time? What effect does this have upon the measurements?

Can anyone pls kindly help me? Thank you very much.
