Can anyone tell me why VCR's clock is going wrong? No matter how many times I reset it after a few days it is about 5 minutes slow again. The rest of the functions seem to be ok.
Thanks in advance

It could be that you have the VCR set to automatically set the time, which it does by looking at the teletext screens. If so, it may be that it is picking up the wrong time. I noticed this especially when connected to my cable box as the time is in a different position on cable to that on terrestrial TV.

Check to make sure your time control isn't set to auto.

It has to be set at AUTO to pick up the time signal set by Greenwich which comes through the RFsocket from your aerial
My VCR can be set to auto but I switch that off as sometimes it gains or looses hours overnight
