plasm v lcd tvs

i am considering buying a tv and am asking you experienced abers which is best based on your knowledge,ie plasma or lcd.
i have done a google but its a mine field thus my q.
help really appreciated

A good quality plasma screen has a sharper picture than most LCDs... but LCD resolutions are catching up fast and plasmas are on the way out.

Remember that generally you get what you pay for. A broken LCD screen will be dearer to repair than replacing the whole TV. Personally, I would go for a smaller size and better quality if finance is a consideration.

I don't know but I remember reading some advertising blurb on the Panasonic website that said that for screen sizes up to 32 inches LCD was better than Plasma but Plasma was better at latger screen sizes.

I believe mjd is correct, plasma is found mostly on larger screens.
Also check out the energy rating. Plasma screens use more power than LCD.
