medical - Stem Cells
My Mother was under depression since Year 2001 and was under treatment. On 2nd Sep 2008, she consumed ENDOSULPHANE and DELTAMETHERIN. She went immediately into convulsions after vomiting and so was admitted in hospital. Was under treatment of INJ. ZENIUM, INJ. HEPARINE, TAB. PAN 40, INJ. CLORAMPHENICOL, INJ. FLUCONAZOLE, INJ. MONOCEF, TAB. VARICONAZOLE, TAB. EPTOIN, TAB. ENCORATE CRONO 500mg, TAB. ATIVAN 2 MG, TAB.RESTIL 5 MG, etc. for three months. Later she was discharged from the hosp. still under semi conscious state. Present condition is still the same. Not opening her eyes, vocal cord seems to be damaged as she is not talking at all, been moving her head continuously, while lying in bed, under peg feeding, catheter urination. MY QUESTION IS WHETHER THIS KIND OF PATIENT CAN BE TREATED WITH STEM CELL IMPLANTATION TECNOLOGY AND IF NOT THAN WHETHER ANY OTHER TREATMENT CAN BE PROVIDED FOR HER RECOVERY. PLEASE HELP. Yogesh Agarwal, Pune (Mah) INDIA.

Stem cell technology cannot assist in matters of this nature.
Your mother is or has been taking a wide range of drugs which include antibiotics, antifungals, anticoagulants, antiepiliptics and anxiolitics.
I recommend that you leave her in the hands of her medical advisors as I suspect there are major issues at stake regarding her health.
