Ok, following on from No Mercys Post (http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/ChatterBank/Que stion721939.html) I have decided I don't want to be one of those people who didn't achieve everything they wanted to do in life. So, I AM going to do a skydive for charity. I will keep you updated and even post the photos after I've done it. No matter how scared I am it will be worth it.

Will you all be there to force me to do it when I want to chicken out?!

hopefully you won't CAJ1 but there is always that chance that you will

Hopefully I won't but I guess thats a chance you also take when you fly, when you get in your car and do ordinary things so if it happens it'll be while doing something spectacular!
CAJ1 - I did a parachute jump for charity several years back. I was and still am terrified of heights but it is an amazing experience. Go for it!
CAJ1 - nice one! i'm game to come to support you when you do it ( probably come on the plane and make sure you jump!
hope a few more say yes!
where is it?
i'm on the south coast right by the freezing cold english channel! bbbbbrrrrrr
Question Author
Ooh, this is good getting support, it'll make me do it! I live in Northern Ireland but maybe I'll do it in England if we get lots of people there! I used to live on the south coast ianfran. You're my recruit to push me out!
Caj when I did it I was first to go and was sat opposite the open door of the plane all the way up. Believe me, you'll want to get out, won't need a push! Are you doing a tandem jump?
Rather you than me (gulp) god youre brave xx
easily done easily done!!!
Question Author
ianfran - I think you may enjoy doing this too much for my liking lol!

Oh bensmum, I'm definitly going out that door with a pro strapped to my back! I'd panic and something would go terribly wrong if I was left to it!
A tandem jump would be less nerve wracking. The person you are attached to likes living just as much as you do (we hope) and will make sure that you are ok.
Good for you Caj ;-)...My friend did a tandem jump, and she really enjoyed it!..
Good for you CAJ. However, there is nothing on earth that would persuade me to jump out of a perfectly serviceable aircraft which wasn't just about to crash. Unless of course I was tightly strapped to one of the RAF's finest, in which case I may reconsider...........
You won't panic CAJ - you are generally instructed to within an inch of your life before you go up and it's so automatic. Mine wasn't a skydive just a jump but I was on my own.
wow!, how brave of you to do this for charity!! dont chicken out, just think of the feeling of elation when you have done it!!
does that mean i can't push you out now!! oh c**k ( as james may says!)
Question Author
I don't think I'll feel much better strapped to someone! None of you have said it seems like a terrible idea yet so I'm going to investigate tomorrow!

ianfran - you may still be my recruit!
Brilliant experience as I have said - you'll love it. Good luck
xx
Question Author
Thank you bensmum, I admire you for having the balls to do it! xx
You will too!
xx
"thats what im talkin' about!!" - right on CAJ1 xx
