ghosts
i hope i'm in the right catagory for this question!
i would like to know what the physical explanation of a ghost is. i've been watching most haunted on living tv and i'm keen to know how we can see these ghosts and how they can touch and move objects. if they can 'walk through walls', then that would make them non-corporeal but if they can touch things, then wouldn't that make them corporeal?? i'm confused!

But moving on to an explanation of what ghosts actually are, we need to get a few things straight . . . . ghosts are not spirits of the dead, they are not conscious, they can't interact with you, they haven't come back from the dead with messages or unfinished business, that's all for "spirits".
A plausible theory on what ghosts are is that they are a form of residual energy that has been absorbed by the environment in which they lived, and this, on rare occasions when conditions are right, is replayed like a tape in the prescence of certain people who are tuned in to the right wavelength.
This is backed up by loads of accounts of figures walking through walls and up non existent staircases, and on the "wrong" level of flooring, because they are walking through doors and on floors as they WERE, not as they are. An electrician saw a troop of Roman soldiers walk through a cellar in York, cut off at the knees as they were on the old road level - he described what they were wearing (which wasn't the classic Roman soldier gear we all think of) and an expert on the subject verified it as genuine though unusual.
