A vertical cylinder has a cross sectional area of 0.2m2 and contains 2kg of water initially at 15C. The water is subject to a constant pressure of 7 bar by the wieght of the frictionless piston. The system is perfectly insulated and the piston is raised 1m by a heat input rate of 500W.
Calculate the time taken for the piston to rise by this amount.
Take the density of water at 15C as 1000kg/m3
