Mountain climbing Chamonix

Can anyone tell me the name of the book about two climbers on Mont Blanc who got trapped and had to wait a number of days to be rescued because of bad weather. One of the guys died before the helicopter could get to them, and the other suffered severe frostbite and had his feet and arms amputated.
It was a true story and totally inspiring. I wanted to recommend to someone to read and just cant remember the title. I must have given my book to someone to read and not got it back.
