Could you put an advert on The Moon?
17 Answers
Assuming it would be possible to put an advert (or any other symbol) on the Moon, what would be the legality of this? Does anyone actually own the Moon, and how would you put an advert there? Would it be seen right way up all over the world, or would the folks Down Under see it upside down?

Having said that, there is a US entrepreneur... Dennis someone or another ..... who sells tracts of moon land, claiming the UN treaty does not stop individuals owning land on the moon.... and he claims to have made a substantial amount of money doing it.
So, short answer would be... the legality of it iscomplicated, and probably not ;)

people shine ads onto the houses of parliament occasionally, presumably without authority. So I suppose if you had a projector strong enough you could put it on the moon, though it might be quite hard to read except maybe during a new moon. And yes, it would look upside down to Australian and penguins.
