Adding to my thread yesterday....windows 8 upgrade
1 Answers
Further to my thread yesterday about windows 8, I eventually managed to run the upgrade advisor...but alas, my computer isn't really compatible (screen resolution isn't high enough etc and its at its maximum). (I currently have windows vista). Today I ran the windows 7 upgrade advisor and yey, my computer is compatible. Is it worth it? Will it run any faster? (at the mo its so slow, especially on start up it's almost clockwork). Any advice? I don't really want to fork out for a new laptop. TIA

Vista was a bit of a dogs dinner (they had not really finished the design of it before it was shipped).
Windows 7 is a far better operating system and was what Vista should have been.
You may notice some speed improvement, and it will certainly be smaller.
If you are willing to spend the money then go for it, certainyl cheaper than a new laptop.
