Just got back from Morrisons. They are selling fresh Yule logs covered with Belgian chocolate reduced from £6 to £3.60. What the heck? In September, really?
They can't be frozen.
These are they:

So far I've seen Christmas tins of shortbread (M&S); Christmas tins of chocolates and biscuits (everywhere) and mince pies (Co-Op) but a Yule log is a bit much, surely.

I saw Hot Cross Buns in M&S last week. Let Jesus be born before he's crucified this year.

Yep, hot x buns in Waitrose too!
Most of the stuff is sold all year round, it's only the packaging that changes.
They’re currently showing Miracle On 34th Street on Film 4.....titled as a ‘festive family drama’.
Xmas in September...who knew??
Have seen hotels advertising their Christmas Party nights
I can understand hotels/restaurants advertising early.
Yes, I can too but I don't like it!
Same but I just don't like Christmas.
My FB feed has been showing Body Shop Advent Calendars for the last couple of weeks ;o(
Sainsburys have mince pies, Christmas cake, etc the assistant filling the shelves said it was mostly aimed at people sending stuff to families abroad. The use by dates would be a bit of a problem if that was the case
Yet more evidence of how the climate emergency (copyright all taxraisers) is affecting the seasonal norms.
The Martin Lewis Money Show on ITV tomorrow (Tue)at 8pm is about.....yes, surviving Christmas.

That makes sense, Brainiac - he'll be telling people to start buying presents, wrapping paper etc now to spread the cost, as he does every year.
