What’s Your Chris Day ?
We strait with a bacon roll and a Buck’s Fizz , can’t imagine doing that at any other time of the year , open presents although that pit will be skipped this year as we’ve decided we only buy for the sake of it and should we want something then we will get it, then it’s to my daughters house , I’ve cooked the Turkey crown on CE, where her and I prep the prawn cocktails and veggies, always have the tv playing Christmas music on a low level, sit down for dinner about 2pm , when I was a small girl the Queens speech was a done thing at 3pm, then we play a board game , my son in law is a terrible cheat ,home around 5/ 6 to comfies and TV like Call the Midwife

Christmas Day though will mean getting up at a sensible time (which, in itself, is unusual for me) and giving the cats lots of special grub.
Then I'll drive to the coast to watch lots of nutters taking a Christmas dip in the North Sea.
Upon returning home, I'll have my Christmas lunch (which will be this if I can find a shop that's got it in stock: https:/ /www.co okfood. net/pro ducts/R ump-Bee f-brand y/ ). I'll also cook some chicken for the cats.
I might open a bottle of something to go with my lunch. (I've got a nice St Emilion Grand Cru waiting to be drunk but I might just have a beer instead).
I'll probably look into AB during the afternoon and, if I can find anything worth watching, view a bit of telly. And/or, I might go for a stroll down by the lake and chat to some of the dog walkers there.
The evening will be more telly and or AB, plus a bit of grub, a few drinks and, of course, treating the cats to some extra-nice grub.

Hi! Well, learned from elder daughter, I will begin the day with some prosecco and left-over smoked salmon from the buffet I will have served to her and family the day before! OH will be usual cereal-ing. :(
Then walk small dog (unavoidable and keeps one grounded) return and make warm drink and open presents. Hopefully there will be time to nip into the pub.
12.00 brings church service - you get to sing the last verse of 'O Come all ye faithful'!
We shall snack-lunch, perhaps visit some neighbours in the afternoon. Walk dog again. Then a telephone-fest and relaxed reading of the books we shall doubtless receive.
For the first time ever I am not doing a roast of any sort. OH doesn't like any fowl really; so we decided that we'd prefer it if I made beef stroganoff - all done properly, flamed off with brandy etc.. As we feel like it I'll get on with that. OH will probably walk dog again and somehow meet someone.......
Very pedestrian, but if you go to live abroad then your kids learn to establish their own Christmas days, we'll see them over Xmas. :)

Nowadays, a quiet relaxed day - up when I feel like it and may even turn the TV on during the day. Plenty phone calls and messages exchanged and possibly a short visit or two (depending on latest test results, someone's always waiting for a result).
Plenty nice food and extra nibbles and a few glasses of something good.
