I have always loved that song!
For sentimental reasons I also like "When a child is born" as it was sung in the first Christmas play my Son took part in at the age of five.

Slades and so this is christmas always used to make me feel so christmassy. It reminded me of a wonderful time in my life generally too. Unfortunately its been played to death now. it's everywhere, in shops, on adverts etc.etc. its a shame.

I love this song at xmas, you always hear it, and I can never beleive it actualy became an xmas song, ESPECIALLY with the lyrics "you scum bag you maggot, you cheap lousy fagart (for sing along) merry christmarse ya arse, I hope its yar lar-st!" Brillaint!

Love Fairytale of New York, also love All I want for Christmas by Mariah Carey - that's incredibly naff I know, but I can't help it, it just gives me goosebumps!

Also love the old crooner songs at Christmas, I've got loads of Frank Sinatra type christmas CD's and they definitely warm the parts other christmas songs can't reach!
