Cliques on AB

No not the CB clique...

There are some regular threads on AB where the contributors only post in those threads e.g. here's one for the Listener crossword http://www.theanswerb.../Question1079301.html - most of the posters on that thread only ever post on threads about the Listener crossword. It's a Listener crossword club.

Any there any other such cliques lurking in the dark corners of AB?

actually AB is full of cliques, each section (like tech, motoring ect) have a group of regulars

its how the cliques treat outsiders thats the concern, if you wander into news and put you penny worth in, you may be told to "go back to chatterbox" ;)

I realise that some people only post in a particular topic but some of the Listener crowd only post on Listener threads, they don't post replies to any other of the many questions in Q&P; that's what makes it seem so clubby.

maybe is a class thing, i am not an expert on crosswords but maybe someone who would reply to a times crossword would not help a daily mail crossword user?

maybe listener crossword users are particularly clannish and dare I say...snooty?

Isn't there one on the KM Links thing (??). I often look at that but it's a discussion about a specific puzzle we can't see and I never know what they're talking about.

dr b posts here and there, he isn't all that cliquey.

I don't know about a news clique, it is more like Fight Club in there.

With crosswords, as far as I can see people like L-i-K and kayakamina help anyone and everyone. But it's quite possible that people who have done the Times and are happy to hand out the answers haven't done the Mail and so don't know the answers.
