Our Queen will have been 55 years on the Throne on 6 February 2007.

More importantly February sees the 350th anniversary of the Humble Petition and Advice when all the lilly livers offered Cromwell the Crown which he quite rightly turned down!

And lets not forget William Lenthall who when an angry Charles I took an armed guard to parliament and attempted to seize it's members defied him and said "I have neither eyes to see nor tongue to speak in this place but as the House is pleased to direct me"

We'll be a long time to see his like again!

If only they'd had the same guts after say the abdication crisis we could even now be citizens not subjects!

O what comfort and happiness Her Majesty will have when hearing of the rapture and joy with which news of her celebration was greeted by the Answerbankers. And what glee to know that on that day all Answerbankers will be singing and toasting in rapturous chorus:-

Confusion to Her enemies

And there will be much ecstatic banging:-

(1) a 41 gun salute at 12 noon in Hyde Park
(2) a 62 gun salute at 1pm at the Tower, and
(3) a 21 gun salute at 12 noon at Windsor Castle,

What an ignorant lot of peasants .I hope one day that you get the Republic you deserve .If Republics are so great why are all the immigrants (legal or otherwise) who come to this Country so eager to leave them?

Well the french and germans have done well with out their royalty.
And the countries from which a lot of migrants come don't have anything much in the way of ruling parties.
Rather a president than Charlie in charge.
