when shops start displaying christmas presents/wrapping presents etc, playing christmas cd's and christmas lights are out on the streets.
while i understand what reverandfunk says about the day itself not being the birthday of Jesus, in today's society where religion now plays a very small part, i think that any occasion (regardless of the original origins) when people are encouraged to get together and spend quality time with each other, is a good thing. not enough nice things are said and done anymore, so we should enjoy christmas for what it is now, rather than for what it used to be.
