Language and jobs
I was planning on being a photographic stylist or a fashion designer when i'm older and therefore I was going to take Textiles, Art, Business Studies and Dance (for back-up) for GCSE. However, this means I can't do a language (it's all really complicated). Recently, though, I was told you can't get into any career/job without having a GCSE in a foreign language...is that true?
Thanks.

A language is always helpful, but you need to decide whether you will keep it up if you do pick a language. I chose German and French for my GCSE options, got A*s in both, and did French for AS Level too. But 4 years later and I couldn't have a conversation in either language as I haven't used them.
So in short, yes languages will be very good for any career, but only if you continue to use and remember them! Good luck
